🗜️Processing

A duty of opportunity

To Process and then reveal the hidden Alloy Part, the Unprocessed Part is staked for a random (and undisclosed) 1-4 hour period of time.

Across this period of time, an amount of token (based on the value of the underlying Part) is being generated. The token continues to generate at a per-second pace until one of the following takes place:

  1. Processing Success

  2. Processing Failure

Processing Success

When the unknown stake time expires, processing is completed and a new Alloy Part NFT is revealed. You may then sell the part for Alloy token, or collect the NFT.

Processing Failure

If there are no Thread Upgrades equipped during processing, there is a 20% chance that part processing will fail. When processing fails, the amount of token generated up to the point of failure is claimed as a recycle value.

Additionally, when claiming the recycled token there is a tax of the unrealised $NIOZ value portion that is sent to the Smelter inside the Foundry, which smelts for 3 days and is extracted as a reward to liquidity providers.

An Unprocessed Part being Processed

Processing Emissions

This is how token emits during processing. If the Echo-9 Offer Price is PP (unknown until processing completes), and the total processing time is TT and failure time is F<TF < T then the following amount of token will be emitted at failure time:

Emitted Alloy Token =FTP\frac{F}{T}P

Foundry Tax = TFTP\frac{T-F}{T}P

The amount of token generated per second is determined by the Alloy Value of the hidden part. The Alloy Value is calculated by looking at the Part Complexity and Part Purity of the part, which are random values from within a range determined by the specs of the ARC-Forge on which the part was built.
